I’m working on what I need to do to become a Certified Caregiver and Certified Nursing Assistant…
I found a 6 week dual certification program, but have a few things to do before I can sign up…
I am seeing if I can get help with tuition costs through the Pima County One Stop program, and just how far in my training they’d be willing to take me, because I could possibly go for becoming a LPN (licensed practical nurse), or even an RN if they can help…
Traditional Financial aid is off the table for me, due to an old defaulted student loan… But there are certification programs I could do and the possibility they’d be willing to help me pay for it…
I should know more soon and could possibly start training as soon as August or September …
I can pass the physical to become certified and licensed now, thanks to my Heart Ablation and blood pressure meds… And of course fingerprint clearance is no problem… As well as getting a First Aid, CPR and Basic Life Support card, etc… Red Cross has very affordable programs…
I would love to work at Banner Hospital, but will probably need more experience and training to do so… hence the desire to go for LPN training…
But this is the first step to what I believe will be a long and emotionally rewarding career, surrounded by people who are in some caring ways, very similar to me…
I have hope and a very positive outlook on this one… It suits my compassionate nature and, Caregiver’s Heart…
❤
